Michael L. LaCroix-Fralish
Clinical Assistant Professor
Bio
Dr. LaCroix-Fralish is a member of the didactic faculty of the Physician Assistant Program at Marist. Prior to joining Marist, Dr. LaCroix-Fralish spent over 14 years engaging in translational biomedical research in industry. Dr. LaCroix-Fralish was previously Vice President, Aging Biology at Cellular Longevity, a geroscience focused biotech company. Prior to that, Dr. LaCroix-Fralish was Director of Neuroscience Research at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, where he led the development of Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody therapeutics for the treatment of sensory and neurodegenerative disorders. While at Regeneron, Dr. LaCroix-Fralish also launched a multidisciplinary Biology of Aging research group and led its nascent scientific strategy. His team at Regeneron advanced multiple candidate molecules into clinical development. Dr. LaCroix-Fralish is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he holds a B.S. in Biology. He holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology (Neuroscience) from Dartmouth College. He was awarded an Alan Edwards Foundation postdoctoral fellowship to conduct neurogenetics research with Professor Jeffrey Mogil at McGill University where he identified novel genetic associations for interindividual differences in sensory perception in mouse and humans. He has authored 25+ papers published in peer-reviewed journals and is an inventor on 17+ patents.
